How marketing recruitment has changed in the business services industry

The marketing recruitment industry was incredibly busy last year, with marketers at all levels – from Marketing Assistants through to CMOs – all flooded with job opportunities.

Now, we have seen hiring levels stabilise, with more candidates actively searching for jobs on the market. This is an unsurprising development, as the recruitment rates seen throughout 2022 were unsustainable.

Hiring managers might believe that this slower recruitment market will make it easier to hire top talent. However, there are new challenges that employers are facing. The top four are:

Marketing salaries in the business services sector

We found that salaries rose by 20% between 2021 and 2022. With the recruitment market stabilising, the increase hasn’t been as dramatic this year. So far this year, we have seen a 2% increase in marketing salaries.
