My client is a well-established main contractor with over 50 years of experience and 370 employees, boasting a turnover of £200 million. 

The business operates as a principal contractor, serving clients like Red Bull, Aston Martin, and the University of Cambridge, with a focus on regions spanning Cambridge to Oxford.

The Bid Writer / Manager role involves managing end-to-end bid processes, attending strategy meetings, scheduling, information gathering, and writing - with a mix of single and second-stage tenders.

The Bid Manager / Writer will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with bid teams to define project objectives.
  • Establishing and overseeing a network of subject matter experts.
  • Creating compelling written content.
  • Revising and refining proposal responses from various contributors.
  • Conducting meetings and interviews with key stakeholders to gather content for proposals.

Required skills and experience:

  • As Bid Manager, a degree in English / Journalism or Creative related subject is desirable.
  • Ability to coordinate with colleagues and work to deadlines
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and meeting demanding deadlines
  • Dedication to enhancing the quality of the company's output through ongoing improvement efforts
