My client is a consultancy with circa 50 heads, specialising in construction consultancy services. 

Focusing 70% on the public sector and 30% on private projects - these include large housing associations, local authorities, and private developers, covering a range of services from large residential schemes to safety assessments and retrofit projects. 

The Bid Manager role is crucial, managing the entire bid process in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

The Bid Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing bid production activities for prequalification questionnaires.
  • Bid writing and proofing responsibilities.
  • Ensuring quality of bid responses always achieve top scoring and target win rate.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate communication within the company of information relating to the production and delivery of bid proposals.
  • Effectively manage and remain accountable for your own time, workload and resources. 

Required skills and experience:

  • As Bid Manager, you'll have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the bidding world.
  • Knowledge of new build development, contracting & refurbishment projects.
  • Familiarity with InDesign.
  • Strong organisation, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Socially capable, able to interact confidently with other individuals
