Category Insights Manager EMEA

We are working with a successful and well-known family FMCG business that has been on an incredible growth journey over the last 15 years and is the number one brand in their category. They are looking for a Category & Insights Manager to unlock opportunities for growth across offline and online channels, categories and retailers, specifically for Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. You will also be responsible for reporting centrally (and objectively) the market performance and the drivers contributing to that performance.

The Category Insights Manager will:

• Localise the global category vision by integrating relevant local category, shopper, consumer and Brand insights and data
• Drive incremental growth in the category through customer-specific insights through a shopper-first lens
• Support portfolio efficiency and sufficiency by generating insights and shopper-centric evidence to support new product development
• Serve as a category and shopper expert through thought leadership to the demand generation team in the EMEA region
• Provide a holistic and integrated view of what is happening in the category, shopper behaviour and marketplace, and why
• Deliver and consistently review the regional performance dashboard across key shopper and category metrics across all channels to identify the most impactful business drivers for growth 

Required skills and experience for the Category Insights Manager:

• Minimum 5 years category management and shopper insights experience in FMCG companies
• Bachelor’s degree or similar in a related field
• Proficient in working with bigger category and shopper data suppliers like Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, Edge, Kantar, Mintel, Euromonitor etc.
• High level of Data literacy & interpretation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Act commercially with a result focused mindset
