Global Innovation Manager (Maternity Cover)

• Salary: Up to £55k (dependent on experience) + 10% Performance Bonus
• Location: C.London (Flexible with Core Hours)
• 12 month maternity cover

We are working with a pioneering company that revolutionised the beauty industry with innovative products since 2007. They have expanded globally, providing solutions for multi-categories. They are now seeking a Global Innovation Manager to cover maternity leave, continuing to drive product innovation and maintain their position as industry leaders.

Role Overview

The Global Innovation Manager will take strategic ownership of key projects within the innovation pipeline, working closely with the Head of Innovation and managing one direct report. This role involves overseeing the creation and delivery of trend-led product innovations, from concept development to market launch. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, and design teams to ensure products are not only innovative but also commercially successful and aligned with consumer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the stage-gate process for multiple innovation projects, ensuring timely delivery and market readiness.
• Leverage consumer insights and market trends to develop and present compelling business cases for new products.
• Manage cross-functional teams, including product designers and consumer research agencies, to bring innovative concepts to life.
• Draft artwork briefs and coordinate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance.
• Coach and manage a direct report, fostering a collaborative and creative working environment.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience (minimum 4/5 years) in a consumer goods or FMCG environment, with a strong preference for personal care, beauty, or haircare.
• Experience working in global markets.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of consumer insights, marketing, and commercial dynamics, including P&L management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
