The Company:

This is a super exciting opportunity to work for a well-known British retailer, seeking a strategic and creative Retention Manager to develop and lead retention marketing through targeted personalised communications. You will own the planning and execution of automated communications through channels such as direct mail, SMS, email, and push channels. 

The ideal candidate will thrive on working omnichannel with a customer-first mindset, and the ability to define strategy and drive implementation. A proven track record of delivering commercial growth through CRM and personalisation strategies is a must. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the very heart of the business and have a direct impact on consumer performance in a leading retailer. 

The Retention Manager will:

  • Lead the CRM campaign and personalisation strategy across all consumer touchpoints to deliver growth and improved retention of customers, from concept to delivery, across a customer's lifecycle starting by nurturing our new customers, engaging and retaining them and driving frequency, and finally to winning them back
  • Define, implement and optimise triggered email, SMS and in-app (push) programmes
  • Communicate and show a strategic mindset and vision to key stakeholders
  • Lead the CRM marketing calendar, collaborating with the Product and Sales Teams
  • Manage a team of executives and assistants, helping coach and nurture their development during the position
  • Report on all retention activities and performance across the multiple divisions across the retailer

Requirements:

  • Advanced CRM and Lifecycle experience, 4+ years
  • Retail, e-commerce or consumer-focused background is a must
  • Advanced understanding of ESPs and CRM systems, SAP Marketing Cloud/Emarsys is preferred
  • Strong understanding of GDPR regulations
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills
