Job Title: Bid Consultant Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week in Leeds office Full-time | Permanent Salary: £35,000–£50,000 (DOE) About the Company We’re supporting a specialist bid consultancy with over a decade of success helping clients win work across the public sector. The business supports a wide range of organisations—from SMEs to large contractors—in improving the quality, compliance, and competitiveness of their submissions.
Their team is growing, and they’re looking for an experienced Bid Consultant who can lead bids, collaborate closely with clients, and help deliver consistently high-quality submissions.
The Role As a Bid Consultant, you’ll be assigned to client accounts to manage and support bids across various public sector frameworks. This is a hands-on role where you'll lead the process, review content, and work closely with clients to shape compelling responses. You’ll have the support of a wider team and access to internal reviewers and resources to maintain quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end bid management for assigned client opportunities
- Review and enhance existing content to align with evaluation criteria and highlight value
- Draft clear, tailored responses that evidence capability, compliance, and impact
- Liaise with clients to extract relevant information, case studies, and evidence
- Contribute to internal best practice and content development
- Support multiple bids concurrently, managing time effectively to meet deadlines
Key Skills & Experience - Proven experience in bid writing or bid management (public sector focus preferred)
- Strong understanding of how to write to evaluation criteria and improve scoring
- Excellent attention to detail, writing skills, and ability to draw out client value
- Familiarity with frameworks and portals used in public procurement
- Confident working independently while being part of a collaborative team
- Comfortable leading client conversations and managing relationships
