3Search has worked closely with KLEKT’s CEO, Sally Scott, a number of times over the past few years in different businesses and we have always been able to help her hire strong talent into her businesses. So, when Sally joined KLEKT in 2020, she got back in touch with us to discuss a number of opportunities that she was hiring for.

These roles were across a number of different functions, but mainly within marketing which would be headed up by their new Marketing Director, Sarah Wilkinson. In 2020, we successfully hired...

Building long-lasting relationships

3Search Director, Michael Judkins, had previously been successful in placing Sarah Wilkinson in her last role with Sally. Consequently, when Sally hired her to work at KLEKT, it was great to see that relationship continuing beyond our initial introduction.

We were asked to help Sarah hire a number of roles across Performance Marketing, Social & Content, and CRM. Michael, alongside specialist recruiters, Jasmin Eastwood and Andy Larkin made up the delivery team for this specific team build. Their individual specialities ensured that the team was best equipped to fill each role effectively and efficiently. Jasmin specialises in Performance Marketing, whilst CRM is Andy’s speciality.

Developing new marketing teams

This brief was for a completely new team to be built in the UK since KLEKT’s operations were moving from central Europe to London.  

Ideally, our specialist team were looking to find candidates with experience in the footwear or sneaker industry who could bring a strong knowledge to the team as well as the necessary skills. The team also had to focus on finding candidates who wanted to join a fast-paced, high-growth business. The ability to work and thrive in this environment was discussed when interviewing all potential candidates.

Identifying modern E-commerce leaders

One of the roles that KLEKT needed to hire was outside of the core offering of marketing and our specialist team were briefed on finding an E-commerce Operations Director. 

Although this is a role that we would not normally cover, Michael felt confident that he could find some quality candidates for such an important role. His extensive knowledge of the e-commerce landscape combined with his excellent candidate resourcing capability assured Sally that we could deliver. 

Michael started by mapping the market to identify a number of businesses that he could approach candidates from. He focused on those who had experience working in a digital-first environment. After a successful selection and shortlisting process, Paul Clark stood out as the favoured candidate, and we helped to secure him a new role in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
