Our recruiters began working with Photoroom, a leading AI photo and design platform, in early 2025. Following new investment, the business was ready to move into the B2B world. Having successfully grown in B2C markets, they needed to onboard new, strategic marketing hires to lead their expansion. 

Expert recruiter, Laura McManus, worked closely with Photoroom’s talent team to identify a specialist B2B Product Marketing Manager. This was the first of a series of hires that would lead their growth into this new segment.

The story of Photoroom

Founded in 2019, Photoroom is a fast-growing Paris-based tech company best known for its AI-powered photo editing platform. Originally built to support individuals and small businesses with fast, high-quality background removal and image enhancement, Photoroom has quickly grown into a leader in creative tools for ecommerce.  

Backed by top-tier VCs, the company is now expanding its focus from B2C and moving into B2B markets as part of its next stage of growth. To do this, they needed to bring in a B2B Product Marketing Manager to support that vision. 

Challenge: Hiring a specialist to lead B2B product marketing

Photoroom were looking for someone who could build and execute go-to-market strategies, working closely with their sales team to help define the B2B proposition. After several months of searching without success, their VC introduced them to 3Search for true specialist support.

The brief was complex, with multiple requirements, so we helped shape expectations throughout. We also scheduled weekly meetings with the Head of Talent to share candidate feedback and market insights, ensuring alignment and transparency at every stage. 

Result: A strategic hire to support future growth

The successful candidate is due to start shortly, and the hire marks a key step in Photoroom’s journey into B2B. Following the success of this search, we’ve now been engaged to support them on a Growth Manager role, with plans to help them scale their wider marketing team in the months ahead.
