We first started working with Lintbells in 2023 when they were looking to grow out their product team as part of their transition from a sales-led business to product-led. Since that initial role, we have also supported the company on roles across their ecommerce team. So far, we have placed three professionals into the company...
Lintbells were moving to a more product-focused strategy as they invested in better data, personalisation and planned to launch into the North American market. As a result, Lintbells were searching for their first product hire to join their previously appointed Head of Product, when they reached out to our specialist product recruiter, Francesca Jackson.
The company had partnered with recruitment agencies in the past but were now struggling to engage the right calibre of candidates. Francesca is an experienced product recruiter dedicated to supporting and championing product growth, so she was best positioned to support Lintbells with this new hire.
The business is based in a small town in Hertfordshire, so, despite the Product Owner job being hybrid, the candidate pool was narrowed by location. Plus, as the office is dog-friendly, it was important that candidates didn’t have any allergies and was comfortable with dogs.
To help the business understand which candidates were available to them, Francesca kept the hiring manager up to date with market trends. She maintained regular communication with them, sharing candidates’ concerns around the days required in the office and working together to find a solution that worked for both Lintbells and the Product Owner.
