Our chosen charity partner, Beam, is an organisation helping homeless people and refugees find their feet in society. During our partnership so far, we’ve helped to change the lives of over 750 people, supporting over 400 individuals into work and 315 people into housing.
This month, our support has made a meaningful impact on the lives of Aryan, Alhaji, and Jasper as they grow closer and closer to reaching their goals of leading a bright future for them and their families. Read their full stories below...
Zoe is a proud mum of two beautiful children who light up her life. Unfortunately, they've had a rough ride over the past couple of years. They've been through relationship breakdowns, temporary living situations with family, and even a stint in a hostel. It's been challenging, especially for her little ones, but they're a strong team and they're determined to find stability.
The family have recently moved into their first privately rented home. It's a big step for them and she's so excited to turn this house into a home for her children. But it's a bit daunting too. There are bills to pay, furniture to buy, and she's still caring for her kids full-time. She's eager to get back into work, not just to meet their financial needs, but to provide a positive role model for her children.
Zoe is so grateful to be part of the Beam community. Knowing that there are people out there who want to support them in achieving their goals means the world to her. It's not just about the here and now, it's about building a future for her family. In two years, she sees them being more financially stable, and their house feeling like a home. Tekle has always found joy in working, spending time with his family and friends, and continuously improving himself. One of the biggest challenges he's faced is improving his knowledge, learning new languages, and gaining the necessary training to secure a good job. He has a history of working in warehouses as a forklift driver back in Germany and he's eager to get back to work and support his family.
With Beam's support, Tekle's looking to get a forklift driver training and certification. This isn't just about getting a job for him, it's about building a career, providing for his family, and achieving a sense of fulfilment. He's excited to work with Beam because he knows that with your help, he can achieve his goal.
Knowing that people like you want to support him in achieving his goal makes Tekle very happy. He can't wait to embark on this journey and he's looking forward to the day he can say he's achieved his goal. He envisages a future filled with happiness and he believes achieving this goal with Beam is the first step towards that future.

Bethany is a mum to a beautiful little girl who is two years old and growing more independent each day. Seeing her learn new things and develop her personality is what brings Bethany the most joy. However, life hasn't been easy for them. The biggest challenge she's faced has been becoming homeless. It's been a difficult journey, moving from one temporary accommodation to another, but she's determined to make a change for the better.
Bethany's working with Beam to find a stable home and part-time work. She wants to provide a better life for her daughter. She's worked in the hospitality industry before and she's keen to return to it. She believe that finding work will not only improve their financial situation but also boost her confidence.
Knowing that there are people out there who want to support Bethany in achieving her goals makes her feel incredibly grateful. In two years time, she sees herself in her own flat with her daughter having her own room. Achieving this goal would make her incredibly happy. It will make a world of difference to both her and her little girl.
